Build Phase Overview

The Build Phase is designed to help you gain lean muscle mass while improving strength and overall body composition. During this phase, the focus shifts from fat loss to muscle growth, with a focus on fueling your body to build muscle and recover effectively.

Goal:

The primary goal is to increase muscle size, strength, and overall physical performance. This phase focuses on creating a calorie surplus, where you consume slightly more calories than your body burns, to support muscle growth and repair.

Approach:

To promote muscle growth, the program combines a balanced increase in calories, with an emphasis on protein to support muscle repair. Strength training will be the cornerstone, with progressive overload principles incorporated to continuously challenge your muscles and stimulate growth. Cardiovascular activity is minimized to avoid interfering with muscle gain.

Training:

Training will revolve around compound lifts and targeted exercises that focus on increasing strength and hypertrophy (muscle size). Expect to be lifting heavier weights, focusing on lower reps with higher intensity. Rest days will also be crucial for muscle recovery and growth.

Outcome:

The outcome of a successful Muscle Build Phase is a noticeable increase in lean muscle mass, improved strength, and better overall body composition. You’ll likely see a more defined physique, with increased muscle volume and a boost in confidence in your physical capabilities.
